Built for the blind spot most analytics tools were designed to hide.

Botsanalyser is a plugin and an API that tells marketers which AI and search bots actually visit their pages. No server logs, no developer ticket, no CDN setup.

Why this exists

Every SEO and content report I have written in the last two years is missing a section: AI bot traffic. Not because it is unimportant, but because the data was not anywhere a non-technical marketing team could reach. GA4 filters bots out by design. Managed Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, and Squarespace do not expose raw server logs. Log-file analysers need infrastructure access most sites cannot get.

That gap gets bigger every month. Cloudflare reports GPTBot requests are up 305% year over year. Vercel and MERJ measured AI crawlers at roughly 28% of Googlebot volume across public web traffic. At the same time, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews decide whether to cite your site based on whether their bots can read it. If you cannot see those visits, you cannot optimise for them.

Botsanalyser is the first tool that puts that data in a marketer's hands on the platforms they already use.

What I'm building

A plugin for every major CMS. A real-time dashboard with per-URL, per-bot, and per-country breakdowns. A REST API, outbound webhooks, CSV export, and native connectors to GA4, Looker Studio, BigQuery, HubSpot, and Segment. A weekly plain-text email for the teams who still read on Mondays. An alert engine that catches new crawlers, crawl-budget waste, redirect loops, and spikes.

All built on Cloudflare for latency and privacy reasons, with EU and US data regions available. Bot-only by design: no cookies, no consent banner, no PII, no humans tracked.

Who I am

I'm Jan-Willem Bobbink, operating from Den Haag. My previous products, all focused on SEO measurement gaps:

Every tool above ships with the same thesis: marketing teams win when they can measure the thing everybody else treats as a black box. Botsanalyser applies that thesis to the fastest-moving black box in SEO right now, which is AI crawler traffic.

What Botsanalyser does not do

Botsanalyser does not measure what AI engines say about your brand. That's Profound, Peec AI, Otterly, and a growing list of AI visibility tools. They ask questions to ChatGPT and Claude and measure citation share. That's a different layer of the problem, and it's a useful one, but it isn't mine.

Botsanalyser does not replace log-file analysers for sysadmins who already have log access. Screaming Frog Log Analyser, Oncrawl, JetOctopus, Botify, and Lumar are excellent at what they do. Botsanalyser is for the teams that don't have access to log files in the first place.

Botsanalyser does not filter bots out of your human analytics. That's GA4, Plausible, Fathom, and friends. They do humans. Botsanalyser does bots. Both are useful, and both live in the same dashboard if you pipe the Botsanalyser API into GA4.
